How we use AI
AI tools help us with outlines and first drafts. People choose the sources, rewrite the text, check every fact and approve the final guide. Guides marked “Reviewed by” have also been approved by the licensed plumber named on the page.
What AI tools do here
- Suggest an outline from a question and a list of sources an editor picked.
- Produce a rough first draft for an editor to rewrite.
- Offer simpler wording for a sentence that has already been checked.
What people do
- Choose and read the sources.
- Check every number and claim against those sources. An AI tool is never cited as a source.
- Decide what safety warnings a guide needs and where a reader should stop and call a professional.
- Review and approve the guide: our licensed plumber reviewers do this before their name appears.
What we rule out
- AI as an author. Bylines name the Pipe Answers Editorial Team or a real person.
- AI-generated photos of people, plumbing damage or repairs. If we ever use an AI-made illustration for something non-factual, it will be labeled.
- Publishing AI text without a human rewrite and fact-check.
We will update this page if our process changes. Questions go to contact@pipeanswers.com.
